Rakkyo—-it’s pickled shallots in Japan.
This Rakkyo is soooo special!

This Rakkyo is the best Rakkyo ever!! It’s named “Tama Ogon Rakkyo” which means golden ball pickled shallots.
My favorite Japanese restaurant Momokawa restaurant’s owner Mie-san gave it to me as a souvenir from Japan.
The special Rakkyo is much bigger, much juicier and much crunchier than regular Rakkyo!! Sipping sake with this Rakkyo is my secret pleasure at my home now. (please don’t tell my husband about this secret….)
I already can not wait to have my Rakkyo-time tonight!
