Warm Takaisami Junmai with Shutou
Posted by chiz on July 6, 2009

Warm Junmai sake is not only for MEN! Especially, warm Junmai with something salty and fishy small “ATE” appetizers!
This night’s ATE was salted bonito’s guts “SHUTOU”. It has very unique meaning. “Shu” means Sake, “Tou” means theft. If you have some Shutou with sake, the sake is gone so quick like someone stole it! It’s very popular sake friend in all over Japan now, but it’s originally Kochi prefecture.
In Japan, so many Japanese still believe this combination is only for “OYAJI” which means “OLD MAN”. I’m totally fine with called “OYAJI” even I am a woman because, now, I know how much fun sipping warm sake with salty ATE! I love to share this great pleasure with OYAJI! OYAJI knows how to enjoy more Junmai!
